About National Tooling & Machining Association

The National Tooling & Machining Association (NTMA) is the national representative of the custom precision manufacturing industry in the United States. For the most part, NTMA members are small businesses, yet the industry generates sales in excess of $40 billion a year. Our members design and manufacture special tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, gages, special machines, and precision machined parts. Some firms specialize in experimental research and development work.

Home Town Manufacturing

NWPA NTMA has kicked off a series of tours called “Home Town Manufacturing.” The intention of the tours is to open the doors of manufacturing businesses to the community to inform more people about our industry. Invited guests include students, parents, administration, and teachers plus community members. The end goal of exposing these groups to the advanced technology, clean workplaces, and seriously cool parts being manufactured is to encourage students who are mechanically inclined and right for our trade to have the exposure and opportunity to consider education and careers in our trade.

Plans are to offer 2 tours in the Meadville area and 1 tour in the Erie area throughout each year. NTMA Member companies are welcome to contact us (NWPA NTMA Office 814-720-0094 or info@nwpa-ntma.com) if you are interested in adding your name to the list of upcoming tours.

Students/Classes during school hours; By Special Appointment.  E-mail info@nwpa-ntma.com or call 814-720-0094 to register.
