2021 RoboBOTS Results

15 Schools ~ 30 Bots ~ 1 Competition

RoboBOTS was held on April 24 at Meadville Area Senior High.  There were over 168 students involved in RoboBOTS throughout the 15th school year of the program.  The Northwestern PA Chapter of the NTMA was pleased to be able to offer this event to the students in 2021 since everything went on lockdown only three short weeks before the 2020 contest.  Adjustments did have to be made this year with the most noticeable being no spectators.  Even without the buzz of the fans, the students were very engaged and they made the battles exciting! 

Thanks to Armstrong and Meadville High's Media team, the event was broadcast live on Youtube with over 2,000 views.    Shout out to Jon Durand, Robot Combat Announcer, for volunteering to spend his day with us as well.  And to the many volunteers* who helped with preparation, setup, throughout the day, and tear down - Thank You!  

Competing schools included: Cambridge Springs, Cochranton, Commodore Perry, Conneaut Area, Conneaut Valley, Erie, General McLane, Maplewood, Meadville, Saegertown, Union City, and Venango County Tech.  Sadly, three schools had to drop out only days before this year's event due to COVID protocol at their schools: Corry, West Middlesex Middle School and West Middlesex High School.  Many thanks to the teachers for all the time they invest in the program and to the administrators for their continued support!
