2020 NWPA Chapter NTMA Golf Outing

NWPA CHAPTER NTMA ANNUAL GOLF OUTING: JULY 23, 2020

The NWPA Chapter NTMA Annual Golf Outing had a great turnout with 31 teams on Thursday, July 23 at the Country Club of Meadville!  Many thanks to the sponsors, golfers and volunteers who made the event successful.  And kudos to the Golf Committee and The Country Club for their creative ideas to follow the current restrictions while hosting an enjoyable event. Many alterations had to be made to follow current CDC guidelines due to Covid-19. Face masks were provided to all attendees, the registration table was eliminated, and box lunches were provided for golfers to take with them on course. Because of limited seating in the Clubhouse, dinner was served buffet-style by Club staff with additional outdoor seating available and the option of taking dinner to go instead.

The NWPA Chapter NTMA and Golf Committee are proud to announce that over $15,000 was donated to local Volunteer Fire Departments in addition to our annual benefactor NWPA NTMA Education Foundation.  Sponsors were given the option to nominate a volunteer fire department within our Chapter footprint to be entered into the drawing.  Each nominated department received $500 and $2,500 was donated to the first three drawn from the helmet as well as the Crawford/Venango Fire School which trains and prepares firefighters and first responders throughout the region.
